Savana Nusu
Savana Nusu is one of Bali's authentic hidden gems, and the perfect place to bike around and get a view of Mount Agung!

Savana Nusu isn't a place I'd recommend driving to specifically. There isn't much there. But if you're biking around the coast of Bali as we did, it's definitely worth the stop! The roads are almost empty, and the views of Mount Agung were the best we'd seen.
The vast expanse of open grasslands transforms completely with the seasons. We visited at the turn of the season when the grass was just beginning to dry up, yet it was still so vibrant and stunning. The area is exceptionally quiet compared to the South of Bali, and you'll often see local farmers tending to cows or goats against the backdrop of the volcano.
Pro tip: Bring lots of water and snacks as there aren't many markets or restaurants around - we forgot, otherwise this would have been the perfect place for a picnic! Also, bring a hat and sunscreen as shade is scarce too.
