The Best Places in Malaysia

We arrived in Malaysia not knowing anything about the country or culture, and left feeling like we'd found a home here. There is so much to see and do, from diving in the bluest waters in the Perhentian Islands to hiking through the highlands and sipping on locally grown tea. However the best part about Malaysia, without a smidgen of a doubt, is the dish Nasi Lemak.

Perhentian Islands

The warmest, bluest, clearest water you ever did see, this island deserves to be at the top of your Malaysian bucket list.

Cameron Highlands

The Cameron Highlands is a big relief from Malaysia's hot, humid weather! High in the hills, you'll get to go on some beautiful jungle hikes, explore tea plantations, and taste some famous Cameron Highland tea.

Georgetown, Penang

If you're looking for funky street art, tasty food and good vibes, Georgetown is your place!

Kuala Lumpur

Step into the bustling capital city of Malaysia and discover some epic buildings (2nd tallest in the world!) with lots to see and do.

Malacca

One of the cultural hubs of Malaysia, Malacca is brimming with history - and big monitor lizards!

Forest City

Built as a 'futuristic eco city', Forest City now sits as an abandoned ghost city - this place was super eerie!

Port Klang

Famous for the world's largest firefly colony, and the largest clothing upcycling center in Southeast Asia!
