Cameron Highlands
The Cameron Highlands is a big relief from Malaysia's hot, humid weather! High in the hills, you'll get to go on some beautiful jungle hikes, explore tea plantations, and taste some famous Cameron Highland tea.

The Cameron Highlands sits 1,500 meters above sea level, where the tropical heat vanishes amid the rolling vistas of neon-green tea bushes. Originally developed by the British as a "hill station" to escape the lowland humidity, it feels like a slice of the English countryside dropped into the middle of Southeast Asia.
Things to Do:
The BOH Tea Plantation (Sungei Palas): This is the quintessential Cameron Highlands view. Visit the futuristic cafe that juts out over the valley for a panoramic view of the tea terraces. Watching the mist roll over the emerald-green hills while sipping a fresh cup of tea is a photographer’s dream.
The Mossy Forest: Don't be fooled, the mossy forest may sound magical and it is advertised everywhere, but you get virtually the same experience going on one of the many free jungle hikes in the area.
Strawberry Picking: Because of the cool climate, this is the only place in Malaysia where strawberries thrive. Visit a farm like Raju’s Hill to pick your own berries.
Hiking the Trails: There are over a dozen numbered trails winding through the highlands. Trail 10 is a favorite, leading you up to the peak of Gunung Jasar for incredible views, while others lead you through hidden waterfalls and dense jungle. The Butterfly Farm & Insects Garden: Get up close with the spectacular Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing (Malaysia's national butterfly) and strange iridescent beetles. It’s a great spot for macro photography.
Lavender Gardens: A beautifully landscaped hillside filled with rows of purple lavender, vibrant daisies, and whimsical statues. It’s a bit kitschy, but the colors against the mountain backdrop are spectacular.
