Nha Trang

If coastal scenery and resorts are you're thing, you're not going to want to miss Nha Trang, and if rollercoasters and waterparks are more to your liking, don't worry - it has that too!

Known as the sunniest city in the country, Nha Trang has a perfectly blended atmosphere, from the relaxing seaside to beach clubs and neon-lit night markets. In 2025, it has solidified its reputation as a world-class wellness and adventure hub, and is a good destination for travellers who want the luxury of a modern city paired with the raw beauty of a tropical marine reserve. We found the beach was nice - but do expect a bit of rubbish! Our favourite thing about Nha Trang, though is VinWonders, and honestly, if waterparks and theme parks aren't your thing, we'd maybe recommend skipping this place.

Things to Do:

- The Vinpearl Cable Car: Take a ride on the world’s longest over-water cable car to Hon Tre Island. The island is home to VinWonders, a massive theme park with a water park, alpine coasters, and a glowing "Tata Show" at night.

- Scuba Dive at Hon Mun Island: As Vietnam's first marine protected area, the waters here are home to over 350 species of coral. It’s the best place in the country for beginners to try their first dive or for pros to explore underwater caves.

- Visit Po Nagar Cham Towers: Perched on a hill overlooking the Cai River, these ancient Hindu temples date back to the 8th century. The intricate red-brick architecture and the smell of burning incense create a powerful, spiritual atmosphere.

- Climb to the White Buddha: At Long Son Pagoda, you can climb 152 steps to reach a massive 24-meter-tall white Buddha statue. The views from the top offer a stunning panorama of the entire city and the bay.

- Island Hopping & Floating Bars: Join a boat tour to explore the surrounding islets. Many tours include a "floating bar" where you can enjoy a drink while bobbing in the ocean, followed by a fresh seafood BBQ on a hidden beach.

- Drive to the Ba Ho Waterfalls: About 45 minutes north of the city, you can hike through the jungle to reach three tiers of waterfalls. It’s a favorite for thrill-seekers who enjoy cliff-jumping into clear, deep pools.

- Sunrise at the Salt Fields: Take an early morning trip to the Hon Khoi Salt Fields. Seeing the workers carry baskets of salt against the reflection of the rising sun is a dream for photographers.
